Daphne's Simply Southern Bakery

A co-worker of mine recently bought a cake for her sisters birthday. She wanted something special, so she went to Daphne's Simply Southern Bakery. She started telling me about the bakery, and I knew it was something I had to write about.

This bakery was started as the result of the bad economy and is run by a group of talented young adults. With the help of their aunt, they were able to get the bakery up and running. They pride themselves on using the freshest ingredients and no mixes. Most of their recipes have been passed down in their family.

Daphne is the bakery manager who makes sure that all of the daily tasks are taken care of. She was only 20 at the time of the bakery opening. She also does a majority of the cake baking. Connie, who is the cake decorator was
only 17 years old when she started at the bakery. With the help of a mentor she seems to have become quite the expert. Adrienne takes care of the financial side of the business and Tiffany manages the night shifts to ensure that everything gets done in time for the weekend rush. There are also a few other part time employees that help to ensure that every cake is perfect.

Daphne's Simply Southern Bakery is truly a family owned business who cares about each customer. They do their part to give back to their community. Make sure you check them out on Friday mornings. They have Breakfast at Daphne's--and each week they cook up a variety of goodies. They open at 7 am to serve you on your way to work!
